Guide for Setting Font in Kingsoft Writer

The default font in Kingsoft Office is Times New Roman. If you don’t like it, it’s all right. Kingsoft offers a number of fonts, font sizes and font styles for you to choose from, and you can use these fonts to set your own desired default font.

Set Default Font in Kingsoft Writer

In Writer 2013, follow these steps:

1. Under the Home tab, click Settings and choose Font in the drop-down list. You can also use the shortcut key “Ctrl + D” to bring up the Font window.

2. In the Font window, choose the font, font style and font size you like. Click Default.

3. In the pop-up dialog box, click OK and the default font is set.

PS: Kingsoft Spreadsheet also provides this default font setting while Presentation doesn’t currently support it. In Spreadsheet 2013, follow this guide:

Add Font to Kingsoft Writer

Some users are dissatisfied with the existing fonts in Writer and want to download desired fonts from the Internet and add them. It’s quite easy as long as you follow these three steps (take windows 7 as an example):

1. Download the font you like from the Internet and unzip it. You will get a .ttf file. Double click the file, and then click Install.

2. You can also right click the .ttf file and then click Install, as shown in the following figure:

3. Open Kingsoft Writer. You can see the newly installed font in the font box.
