How to Insert, Copy and Delete Text Box in Writer 2013

There are two types of text box: the horizontal and the vertical. In Kingsoft Writer, the contents of a text box can be highlighted so as to catch the readers' eye.

Add a text box

Step 1 Go to Insert > Text Box. There three types of text box, select one from the list.

Step 2 Place cursor where you want to insert text box in the document. Then click and drag the mouse to add a text box to the document. When the text box reaches the desired size, release the left mouse button. Then you are free to enter the contents into the inserted text box. 

Step 3 Select the text box border and 8 little squares will appear. You can re-size the text box by these little squares.

Step 4 Put the cursor on the text box's border and the cursor will change into an arrow cross. Hold the left mouse button and drag the text box to move it to its new location.

Set wrapping style of text box

To set the wrapping of the text box, you can:

Step 1 Place the cursor on the text box border, right-click and select the Format Object option from the context menu.

Step 2 Choose Layout tab in the Format Object dialogue box as shown below:

Choose the Square option in the Wrapping Style section and the effect is shown as below:

Copy a text box

Step 1 Click the border of the text box that you want to copy.

Step 2 Press Ctrl+C.

Then you can paste the text box to the desired location.

Delete a text box

Click the border of the text box that you want to delete, and then press Delete.

Note: Make sure the pointer is on the border of the text box, instead of inside the text box.
