How to Use Page Break and Column Break in Writer 2013

Kingsoft Writer will automatically begin a new page when the previous one is finished. However, you can also break the page manually at a specific location so as to meet your individual demands.

Page breaks

To insert a break in the page, follow these steps:

Step 1 Place the insertion point to the place where you wish to break the page.

Step 2 Open the Insert tab and click the arrow on the Breaks iconinsert break in writer 2013. Choose the Page Break option in the drop-down list to insert the page break.

Tips:

  • 1. <Ctrl+Enter> is a shortcut that will also insert a page break.
  • 2. To delete a page break, place the insertion point at the end of the last page, and then press Delete.

Column break

If you have formatted your document text with columns, text will flow from one to another automatically. But if you would like to insert a column break manually, you may follow these steps:

Step 1 Step 1 Place your cursor where you want to insert column break.

Step 2 Choose the Column Break option in the aforesaid drop-down list to insert a column break in the document.

You can press Backspace key to delete the inserted column break.

Text wrapping break

To insert a text wrapping break, follow these steps:

Step 1 Place your cursor where you want to insert text wrapping break.

Step 2 Choose the Text Wrapping Break option in the aforesaid drop-down list or press <Shift+Enter> shortcut key to insert a text wrapping break in the document.

Press Backspace key to delete the inserted text wrapping break.
