How to Insert Symbol in Document with Writer 2013

To insert a symbol in document of Writer 2013, follow the steps below:

Step 1 Place the insertion point to the place where you want to insert a symbol.

Step 2 Open the Insert tab and click the Symbol icon. The recently used symbols and the available custom symbols will be displayed in the symbol drop-down list.

Step 3 If the symbol you want to insert is not in the symbol library, select the More Symbols option at the bottom of the symbol list. Then the Symbol dialogue box will open and show as below:

Step 4 Select the symbol you want from the dialogue box and click the Insert button.

Choose the Insert button to exit.
